HARDWICK – Saturday, April 25, at 6:30 p.m., VerseVillage and the Jeudevine Memorial Library invite poets and poem performers an all-ages, all-acoustic poetry slam in the Parker Ladd Community Room at the Jeudevine Memorial Library in Hardwick.
Poets take the stage for up to five minutes to be judged to win bragging rights of Poetry Slam Winner at VerseVillage 2026. Slam master Geof Hewitt, resident of Calais, and Vermont’s reigning poetry-slam champion, will emcee the show. Performers have up to five minutes and may present original work or, unlike traditional poetry slams, “covers,” because anything goes.
Group performances are also welcome, and all ages are welcome to participate. This event is free and open to the public at 93 N. Main Street. For more information, contact the library at (802) 472-5948.
