Playoff run ends for Brown’s Bullets at Woodstock

Share article

WOODSTOCK – Hazen Union alum Mike Brown and his BFA-Fairfax baseball program breezed past Oxbow in the first round last week before fizzling against Woodstock in the quarterfinals of the Division III State Tournament.

The sixth-seeded Bullets cruised past Oxbow 13-5 at home on Tuesday, but the offense ran out of gas in an 8-0 loss to No. 3 Woodstock over the weekend. Woodstock will face the second-seeded Bellows Falls on Wednesday in the Division III Final Four. Top-seeded Thetford Academy (14-0) hosts No. 4 Enosburg in the other semifinal matchup.

Fairfax won the Division III State Championship in 2024, the program’s fifth under Brown, as its season ended at 9-6.
