Hazen Union students sweep art contest

HARDWICK – Three Hazen Union student artists earned top honors in the annual Vermont Covered Bridge Society Student Art Contest.

Ella Renaud won First Place ($100) for Bowers Covered Bridge, West Windsor; Danica Patridge – won Second Place ($75) for Middle Covered Bridge, Woodstock; and Karli Patridge won Third Place ($50) for Baltimore Covered Bridge, Springfield.

The contest celebrates Vermont’s historic covered bridges through student artwork and is sponsored by the Vermont Covered Bridge Society, an organization dedicated to preserving and promoting the state’s covered bridge heritage.

All three students received certificates recognizing their achievements. Their artwork was collected by the Vermont Covered Bridge Society and is featured on the Society’s website, vermontbridges.org
