Second Team selections were headed by Cal United shortstop Phoebe Crocker and sophomore teammate Peyton Winn (3B). Crocker was the thumper in the middle of the Cal United lineup. The senior hit multiple home runs this past season, including a grand slam that led to an improbable comeback against Paine Mountain on Senior Week. Winn was also a top hitter in the middle of the lineup for Cal United this past spring and rounded out the pitching staff for Moore throughout the season.
Honorable Mention selections were led by Craftsbury Academy’s (Hazen) Gracie Crown (SS) and Aliya Young (Utility), along with Cal United’s Austin Roos (C).
Blue Mountain and BFA-Fairfax dominated the Mountain League once again this past season. The Lady Bucks (15-2) went undefeated within the league and breezed through the Division IV playoffs before falling to top-seeded West Rutland in the state title game. The Lady Bullets (13-4) narrowly fell to state champion Oxbow in the Division III Final Four.
