HARDWICK – On June 15, at 7:28 A.M., Hardwick Police, Hardwick Fire and Hardwick Rescue responded to 364 South Main Street in Hardwick for the report of a vehicle into the building with possible entrapment. Upon arrival entrapment was ruled out after it was determined the individual who was possibly entrapped had exited the building with no serious injuries. There were four people in the structure at the time of the crash. The driver, identified as 68-year-old Dan Ayer of Berlin, was still in the vehicle, a Ford F150 Raptor that had come to rest partially inside the-apartment building. He remained inside the vehicle until Hardwick Fire assisted him out before transporting him to Copley Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Ayer reported he experienced a health-related crisis before this crash occurred.
