Summer swimming lessons are being offered again this summer on Curtis Pond in three sessions.
Classes will be taught by two American Red Cross certified lifeguards and ARC-certified Water Safety Instructors.
Classes will be filled on a ‘first come, first served’ basis with priority given to Calais residents. Class size is limited to not more than six children, for reasons of general water safety and quality of instruction. Parents MUST accompany their child(ren) during swim lessons for safety.
Swim Instructors will be available for private lessons upon request.
A waiver of liability and acknowledgement of risk will need to be signed by guardians on or before the first day of swim lessons for their swimmer. That waiver is available upon submission of this registration form or by request from [email protected].
Session I: July 6-10; classes scheduled between 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
Session II: July 13-17; classes scheduled between 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
Session III: July 27-31; classes scheduled between 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
Classes will not be canceled unless there is a thunderstorm or heavy, continual rain. If classes are canceled, you will receive an email 30 minutes prior to the lesson. We regret any inconvenience.
