Free Online Zentangle Drawing Class Feb. 11

GREENSBORO/CABOT – The Greensboro Free Library and Cabot Public Library will offer a free Zentangle Hearts drawing class over Zoom on Sunday, Feb. 11, from 4 p.m. to 5:15 p.m. The Zoom class can be accessed from a computer, laptop, or phone using the Zoom app.

Zentangle can be described as meditative pattern drawing, and uses repetition of simple patterns to create designs. Katy Abbot, a certified Zentangle instructor who taught Zentangle workshops for the library in the past, is returning to lead participants beyond the basics, using heart strings and new patterns to create pieces for Valentine’s Day. Colored pencils may be used in this workshop, and participants should have the Zentangle starter kit which includes paper squares, pencil, smudger and black pen.  The starter kits are available at each library. The Greensboro Free Library has extra Zentangle squares for past participants who need more paper. For more information or to register and receive the class Zoom link, contact the Greensboro Free Library ([email protected], (802) 533-2531, or stop in either library.
