Heather Davis is offering a night at Stone City Treehouse in Hardwick for the online auction to benefit Gaza.

HARDWICK – An on-line auction for Children’s Medical Relief in Gaza will begin April 17, at 10 a.m., and end May 3, at 8 p.m., sponsored by the Hardwick Peace Vigil Committee. The auction will benefit the Palestine Children’s Relief Fund and Medical Aid for Palestinians.

The fund-raising effort was inspired in part by hearing from the Palestinian-American uncle of Hardwick resident Elizabeth Rossano, who spoke at a community forum in Greensboro several months ago about the devastation occurring in Gaza. He spoke along with Jason Hirsh, a member of the group Jewish Voices for Peace. They will both return to Greensboro for a Celebration of Palestinian Culture and Resilience on May 4, from noon to 4 p.m., at the Greensboro United Church of Christ.

Auction items include everything from a night in the Stone City Treehouse, a massage by local masseuse Olive Ylin, and a Vermont bootjack from Wild Acres Farm. They can be bid upon at 32auctions.com/GazaChildrensAid

Auction items will be added throughout the auction. To donate goods or services to the auction, contact Robin Cappuccino at or [email protected] or Davis Sutherland at [email protected]

Auction Items can then be picked up at the Celebration of Palestinian Culture and Resilience On May 4, from noon to 4 p.m., at the Greensboro United Church of Christ. Auction items not bid upon can be viewed and bid upon there at 2 p.m. There will Palestinian finger food, music and cultural items to enjoy. The event is free of charge and all are welcome to attend.
