Author Nethercott at Two Events May 30

EAST CRAFTSBURY –    Author GennaRose Nethercott will be at two events on Thurdays, May 30.

She is a folklorist, sometime puppetteer and the author of the novel “Thistlefoot”    and a short story collection “Fifty Beasts to Break Your Heart.”

Monster Lab: A Writing Workshop with Nethercott will be from 4 p.m. to 5:30 p.m., at the John Woodruff Simpson Memorial Library, 1972 East Craftsbury Road.

Join Nethercott to examine what makes a paranormal creature tick and use those tools to invent new monsters, for ages 14-plus. This workshop is free and space is limited. Email  [email protected]  to sign up.

At 7 p.m., Nethercott will read from and sign copies of her newest book,  “Fifty Beasts to Break Your Heart,” at East Craftsbury Presbyterian Church, 1773 East Craftsbury Road. Books will be available to purchase at the event.
