School Sustainability Committee Forum June 17

Share article

CABOT – The Cabot School Sustainability Committee is holding a community conversation to help develop a long-term sustainability plan Monday, June 17, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., at the Cabot School Performing Arts Center. The forum is designed to help develop a long- term sustainability plan for Cabot School.

The forum will be facilitated by our Town Meeting Moderator Jeannie Johnson.

During discussions before Town Meeting in March, many people expressed the need for more information about potential ways to make Cabot School more sustainable in the future before making major and likely irreversible decisions about the school.

The committee is made up of members with diverse perspectives on Cabot School whose goal is to use in-person community forums to involve as many people and viewpoints as possible.

The goal of this forum will be to use small-group discussions to gather input from Cabot community members on three basic questions about educating our children here; what skills, knowledge and attributes should our kids develop through their education, what is Cabot School doing well now to help kids develop those and how could Cabot School improve to help students develop those?

Refreshments will be served and is the first of several community forums. There will be drop boxes around town to share thoughts on the three questions, or email them to Kerri Moll at [email protected].
