
The swollen Lamoille River created a new cove during the July 10 and 11 storm that dumped over two and a half inches of rain in Hardwick and more in surrounding towns.

Rainfall Thursday, July 11 totaled four inches as recorded by a rain gauge in Walden, bringing the storm total at that location to 7.5 inches for the two day storm. Walden recorded the state’s highest totals for the two day storm.
