CVSWMD ARCC Reopens with New Hours

BARRE – Central Vermont Solid Waste Management District’s (CVSWMD) Additional Recyclables Collection Center (ARCC) at 540 North Main Street, Barre was expected to reopen Monday, Aug. 12, according to an announcement by CVSWMD Public Relations and Outreach Coordinator Briana Morin.

Special items accepted at the ARCC include special materials such as batteries that are not acceptable in regular trash and include electronics, scrap metal, textiles and many other items. It is able to accept bulk papers for shredding.

ARCC hours are Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 8:30 a.m. to noon, then from 1 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. and every third Saturday of the month from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Hardwick is a member town of CVSWMD and residents are entitled to drop off recyclables at the facility where a minimum fee of $2 applies.
