MONTPELIER — The T.W. Wood Gallery has two new exhibits opening that celebrate the work of local Vermont artists as well as a North Carolina artist.
The third annual “Printmaking Invitational 2024,” curated by Phillip Robertson and Jeremy Vaughn, features the work of Vermont artists Beth Russell Campo, John R. Killacky, Judy McCrory, Lisa Arms, Lori Hinrichsen, LynaLou Nordstrom, Lynn Newcomb, and Trey Hancock. This exhibition is the result of an open call to artists and highlights multiple printmaking techniques such as lithography and monoprints.
“Contemplating the Sacred,” is an exhibit curated by North Carolina artist Ed Burnam and T.W. Wood Executive Director Sabrina Fadial. Burnam is a contemporary fine artist that has shown his work nationally and internationally. His mixed media drawings offer glimpses of culture as experienced through sacred objects and family. The contemplation of these two themes has given the work insight into Burnam’s hybrid cultural orientations.
Both exhibits are on view through September 23.
The gallery is located at 46 Barre St. For more information, phone (802) 262-6035
