GREENSBORO – The Greensboro Free Library will exhibit the works of Hardwick painter Nancy Schade through the month of September. Schade spent four months in the mountainous village of Fornalutx on Spain’s island of Majorca in the summer of 1986, seeking meaningful sights to capture on canvas. The exhibit, “Under the Hand of Michael the Archangel,” will feature an artist reception with refreshments at 2 p.m, on Saturday, Sept. 7.
Schade attended the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts and soon after worked at Trapp Family Lodge in Stowe, where she painted murals for the lodge entryway. She now has a studio gallery at her home on Bunker Hill. For more information or to visit the gallery by appointment, call (802) 535-7711.
