Bell Rings to Celebrate Constitution Signing Sept. 17

HARDWICK – On September 17, at 4 p.m.,the Hardwick Academy bell with ring for one minute to celebrate the signing of the U.S. Constitution. The bell, at Hardwick’s Memorial Park, will join the ringing of other bells across the country in celebration of the event, organized locally by St. John de Crevecoeur Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution from St. Johnsbury.

The National Society Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) is a women’s service organization whose members can trace their lineage to an individual who contributed to securing American independence during the Revolutionary War.
