CRAFTSBURY – The Craftsbury Schools Vision Committee will host a Small Schools Forum on Monday, Sept, 23, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the Craftsbury Academy Common Room. The committee will present case studies and encourage discussion of six different school systems: Cabot, Chelsea, Concord, Hazen, Rochester, and Twinfield. Half of those schools have been part of reconfiguration actions in the last decade, half have not.
Committee members are researching many school systems, including reconfiguration processes and outcomes, school spending and tax rates, school enrollment trends, curricular and cocurricular offerings, student satisfaction and performance, and school-community relationships.
Documents will be made available online before the meeting and discussion will follow.
