In the April 9 story, “Saplings to Submit $1M Grant Application for Expansion,” Melissa Jacobs misstated details of the lease agreement signed by Saplings for land on which the childcare center plans a new facility to expand their program. That agreement is between Saplings and the East Craftsbury Presbyterian Church. A provision of that agreement envisions the possibility that the church might sell the land to Headwaters Trust, which would then own the land and lease it to Saplings. Headwaters Trust is in discussion with both of those organizations about the possibilities, but has not entered into any agreement with either organization, said Linda Ramsdell, Headwaters president.
