Montpelier man found in possession of brass knuckles

CALAIS – On June 5, at 4:48 p.m., Deputy Wells, while working a contracted town of Calais patrol, stopped a vehicle on West County Road at Maple Corners Community Center after observing the vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed on County Road. Deputy Wells observed and locked the vehicle on moving radar at 58 mph in a posted 25 mph zone, as the vehicle prepared to descend down the hill to the intersection of Kent Corners and the Maple Corners Store.

While dealing with the operator, Skyler J. Henry of Montpelier, he was found in possession of brass knuckles with intent to use, and an open container of cannabis. Henry was issued a criminal citation to appear in Vermont Superior Court, Washington Criminal Division, on July 9 at 8:30 a.m., to answer to the above charges of Negligent Operation and Possession of Brass Knuckles. The operator was also issued Vermont Civil Violation Complaints for exceeding the municipal speed limit by 31 mph or more and for possessing an open container of cannabis.
