New AOT Plow Truck

A new AOT plow truck with a 21-foot-long plow wing joined the state’s fleet this year. Townshend Elementary School’s entry, “The Vermonster,” was selected from 77 entries by “Maintenance District employees.” The special truck will be used to clear Interstate 89 in one pass.

The Vermont Agency of Transportation (AOT) “Polar Express” snowplow named by Woodbury Elementary School Students visits the school Thursday, Nov. 7. That day all 118 AOT trucks visited the schools that named them. Other local names include Wolcott Elementary School’s “Snowy Eagle,” Craftsbury Schools’, “Dragon Dash Hot Wheels” and Calais Elementary School’s, “Snow Cougar.”
