Local Students Graduate from Clarkson University

POTSDAM, N.Y. — Students from Clarkson University were awarded bachelor’s, masters and doctoral degrees this winter on December 16, 2023. Local students who graduated included Metta Trautmann of East Calais and Ernesto Sola-Thomas of Plainfield.

Sola-Thomas named a Presidential Scholar

POTSDAM, N.Y. – Ernesto Sola-Thomas of Plainfield, VT., a senior majoring in computer engineering, was named a Presidential Scholar for the Fall 2023 semester at Clarkson University. Presidential Scholars must achieve a minimum 3.80 grade-point average and carry at least 14 credit hours.

Gao Earns President’s List Honors

CANTON – Denny Gao, a SUNY Canton Cybersecurity major from Hardwick, has earned a spot on the President’s List during the fall 2023 semester. President’s List recognizes full-time students who achieve a 3.75 or greater GPA during a single semester.
