Hardwick Police Report

On February 12, at approximately 8:50 a.m., Alexandras Olson was operating her 2001 Ford Ranger on Glenside Avenue. She stopped at the Mill Street intersection and when she drove forward making a let turn, she failed to see Clara Lew-Smith, who was driving eastward on Mill Street in a 2018 Mitsubishi. The right front corner of Olsen’s vehicle came in contact with the right front corner and along the side of Lew-Smith’s car. There was extensive damage to both vehicles. There were no injuries.

On February 13, at approximately 11:20 a.m., an unknown male was viewed on security camera at Aubuchon Hardware, located on Wolcott Street in Hardwick, stealing chainsaw files and other files. This male was with another male and when they left, they got into a black-colored Ford pick-up truck that had black widow in large white lettering on the upper part of the windshield. At this time the male who did the stealing is unknown. There is a lead on the identity of the other male.

On February 22, the Hardwick Police Department apprehended Forrest S. Foster, of Hardwick, who had an active warrant for his arrest.

Foster was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Superior Court of Vermont, Lamoille Division, where he posted $200 bail and was released with an appearance notice to appear before a judge the following day.

The original charges on the warrant were Domestic Assault and Violation of Conditions of Release.
