On March 6 the Hardwick Police Department arrested Colin M. Mercier, of Hardwick, on an active Arrest Warrant. The warrant had been issued after the Hardwick Police Department received information that Mercier had assaulted a family member after unlawfully entering that family member’s residence. Mercier reportedly choked the victim and struck the victim three times head-to-head in what is commonly referred to as a head butt. Mercier is being charged with Aggravated Domestic Assault and Unlawful Trespass. He was scheduled to be arraigned on March 11.
On March 9, at approximately 5:22 p.m., Hardwick Police arrested Colin Mercier of Hardwick, walking on Wolcott St., for two outstanding arrest warrants. One warrant out of Lamoille County was a cite and release warrant. The other warrant was a $2,000 bail warrant out of Caledonia County. Mercier was lodged at Northeast Regional Correctional Facility.\
