Lady Cat Legend in Attendance to See History

BARRE – Senior point guard Caitlyn Davison is so good that Lady Cat legend Jennifer desGroseilliers hopped on a plane from Chicago to come watch her lead her team to a championship at the Barre Auditorium over the weekend.

Okay, that may not be entirely true. The all-time leading scorer in Hazen Union history for both girls and boy’s varsity basketball programs came to witness her sophomore niece Julia desGroseilliers win a Division III state title 33 years after she and her Lady Cat teammates accomplished that same feat. Head coach Dianna (Ainsworth) Allen was also in attendance at the Aud. She led desGroseilliers and her Lady Cat teammates to the ‘91 state title and returned to the state title game again in 1999.
