BARRE – The 2024 4-H State Day, May 4 in Barre, provided a platform for talented Vermont 4-H’ers to entertain and educate family, friends and other visitors as they shared what they have learned through their 4-H projects, activities and events.

University of Vermont (UVM) Extension 4-H sponsored the annual event, which was held at the Vermont Granite Museum in Barre. More than 120 4-Hers, all winners at their Vermont regional events, took part.

The top local entries in several categories have been invited to represent Vermont at Eastern States Exposition, West Springfield, Massachusetts, in September. They include: Action Exhibits, Blazing Bridles 4-H Club, Danville (“Lead Rope DNA.” LeighAnn Judd, Wolcott; and Thea Ross, St. Johnsbury; Jenesy Zwart, Danville); Illustrated Talk, Natalie Hill, Greensboro (“Raising Dogs”).
