On June 15, at 1:37 p.m., police were dispatched to a two-vehicle accident with unknown injuries. Upon arrival at the entrance to the Dollar General Store, one vehicle was in the roadway, the other had moved into the parking lot. A 2006 Chevy Trailblazer operated by Eugene Lamoy, of Hardwick, was stopped waiting to drive into the parking lot, when a 2014 Toyota Corolla, operated by Sara Jo Crandall, of Hardwick, failed to stop before rear-ending the Chevy in front of her. Lamoy’s vehicle received minor rear end damage and Crandall’s vehicle had major damage. A citation was issued to Lamoy for driving without a license. Lamoy only had a learner’s permit and no licensed driver with him. Both operators were evaluated by Hardwick Rescue without transport.
