Hardwick Police Report: Solar Sign Run Over by Vehicle

On July 2, just after 4:10 p.m., the Hardwick Police Department responded to the crosswalk on Wolcott Street and Union and Prospect Streets for the report of a damaged solar crosswalk sign. The sign had been run over by a vehicle, rendering it a total loss. One witness advised the offending vehicle was a black truck pulling a fifth wheel-style trailer. The driver fled from the scene. If anyone has any information about this incident, please contact the Hardwick Police Department or the Lamoille County Sheriff’s Office Dispatch Center.

Hardwick Police picked up Joel Sargent of Hardwick on an outstanding warrant out of Washington District Court. He was taken to Northeast Regional Correctional Facility in St. Johnsbury on the warrant.
