Vermont State Police News: Suspicious DUI and Roll-over

MARSHFIELD — On August 2, at 5:27 p.m., the Vermont State Police received multiple reports of a silver SUV that had struck the guardrail after failing to maintain its lane. Troopers arrived on scene and subsequently took Daniel Williams, of Marshfield, into custody for suspicion of DUI and transported him to the Berlin Barracks for processing. Williams was later released to a responsible adult with a citation.

BETHEL – On July 30,  at approximately 4:01 a.m., Troopers from the Vermont State Police Royalton Barracks were notified of a single vehicle rollover involving a tractor trailer unit on Vt. Rte. 107, in the town of Bethel.

Upon arrival, troopers determined Operator No. 1 began to negotiate a right turn on Vt. Rte. 107 near the intersection of North Road at speeds above the posted speed limit and began to roll over. Vehicle No. 1 rolled over and came to a position of uncontrolled rest on the southern shoulder of Vt. Rte. 107. Operator No. 1 sustained injuries and was transported to Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center via the White River Valley Ambulance Service.

Troopers were assisted on scene by members of the Bethel Fire Department, Department of Motor Vehicle Enforcement and White River Valley Ambulance Service.

According to the Caledonian Record the driver of the vehicle was Chad Trudeau of Hardwick.
