HARDWICK – Prints, old and new by Carolyn Mecklosky will be on display at the Third Floor Gallery in the Hardwick Inn on South Main Street.
Mecklosky’s series of prints explores images of the feminine archetype, with some works simple or abstract, while others are of a specific portrait. The work is a series of linoleum carvings as well as prints made from recycled materials.
Mecklosky recently created and illustrated a series of artists books about the joys and challenges of caregiving that will be printed by Central Vermont Council on Aging. She has lived in northern Vermont and taught art for over 40 years. She has retired from teaching and now focuses on art and family caregiving. The show is up through September.
