Berlin Police Department

Share article

On September 8, Berlin officers were already in the area of U.S. Rte. 302 and Ames Drive investigating a vehicle crash when they observed a motor vehicle operating in a negligent manner in traffic, more specifically doing wheelies on the public highway. A traffic stop was conducted and Bryan M. Whipple, of Wolcott, was taken into custody and processed at the Berlin Police Department. Whipple was issued a citation and ordered to appear at Washington County Criminal Court in late October to answer to the charge of Negligent Operation.

The Berlin Police Department has no control over bail or incarceration. Those matters are handled by the judicial system, including the judges, court clerks and the state attorney’s office.
