PLAINFIELD – A Twinfield teacher was charged with disorderly conduct for allegedly drawing on a student’s throat. Kathleen Wheelock allegedly did so after the student used a permanent marker on a whiteboard, according to Vermont State Police.
The incident occurred Sept. 5, according to a state police press release, although authorities began investigating on Sept. 10.
“The student was not injured during the incident and left the classroom to report it to school administrators,” police wrote.
Wheelock could not immediately be reached for comment Friday afternoon.
In an email, Caledonia Central Supervisory Union Superintendent Matt Foster said Wheelock was no longer employed by the Twinfield district. Wheelock is due in court on October. 3, according to state police.
