DLS, Stolen Marijuana Plants
On September 14, at 10:13 p.m., the Hardwick Police Department stopped Byron Fabian Mazabanda Iza, from Hardwick, for a moving violation committed at the intersection of South Main Street and Wolcott Street in the town of Hardwick. The vehicle stop took place on Wolcott Street near Granite Street and a check of the Vermont DMV database revealed Mazabanda Iza, at the time of operation, was under criminal suspension in the state of Vermont in connection with a DUI arrest in Chittenden County on January 15 of this year. Mazabanda Iza was processed at the Hardwick Police Station and released on a citation. He is scheduled to be arraigned for this new charge of DLS, on October 7, at the Caledonia unit of the Superior Court of Vermont, Criminal Division located n St. Johnsbury.

On September 9, at approximately 3:05 p.m., Lucas Molleur was stopped for speeding on Hopkins Hill Road in Hardwick. A license check with the Vermont Department of Motor Vehicles showed Molleur’s license to drive was under suspension. He was issued a citation to appear in Caledonia Superior Court with a court date of November 4.
On September 21, a resident on West Hill in Hardwick reported someone stole his outdoor marijuana plants. The resident captured a picture of the suspect on his game camera at 4:10 a.m. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Hardwick Police Department.
