HARDWICK – Trey Martin, director of conservation on the Vermont Housing and Conservation Board (VHCB), will speak about Act 59, on Wednesday, Nov. 6, at 7 p.m., at the Memorial Building, 20 Church St., Hardwick. Act 59, Vermont’s newest conservation law, was passed by the legislature in June 2023. The law establishes the goal of conserving 30% of the land of the state by 2030 and 50% by 2050. Martin will present an overview of the law and take the audience’s questions. The free event is sponsored by the Hardwick Conservation Commission (HCC).
