Martin Presents Overview of Conservation Law, Nov. 6

HARDWICK – Trey Martin, director of conservation on the Vermont Housing and Conservation Board (VHCB), will speak about Act 59, on Wednesday, Nov. 6, at 7 p.m., at the Memorial Building, 20 Church St., Hardwick. Act 59, Vermont’s newest conservation law, was passed by the legislature in June 2023. The law establishes the goal of conserving 30% of the land of the state by 2030 and 50% by 2050. Martin will present an overview of the law and take the audience’s questions. The free event is sponsored by the Hardwick Conservation Commission (HCC). For those who cannot attend, but have questions, email HCC Co-chair Lucy Zendzian for a question form. ([email protected]) Questions will be forwarded to Martin to answer in his presentation.

Vermont Community TV will film the presentation for viewing after the event.
