Retail Theft
On December 6, Berlin officers responded to Price Chopper for a reported Retail Theft. Officers collected sworn written statements and began an investigation.
The alleged shoplifter was identified by members of Law Enforcement as Alex Maldonada, of Greensboro Bend.
On December 7, Maldonado was located and issued a citation to appear at Washington County Criminal Court in early February for the charges of Retail Theft.
Point of Clarification: The Berlin Police Department has no control over bail or incarceration. Those matters are handled by the judicial system, including the judges, court clerks, and the state attorney’s office.
