Outstanding Warrants, Gas Theft
On Saturday, November 23, the Morristown Police Department took Wendell C. Walbridge, transient in Morrisville, into custody for two outstanding arrest warrants. Walbridge also had a pending case in Caledonia Superior Court for a Retail Theft he had committed on June 11 of this year, at the Aubuchon Hardware Store in Hardwick. Numerous attempts to locate Walbridge in the Hardwick-Greensboro area had been unsuccessful. Morristown officers cited Walbridge into Caledonia Superior Court to be arraigned on this charge.
The Hardwick Police Department was notified of a gas drive off at M&M Beverage that occurred on November 25 at 11:45 a.m., The vehicle was a black Subaru Legacy. They were able to capture a picture of the operator. If anyone can identify the operator, call the Hardwick Police Department at (802) 472-5475.
On November 30, at approximately 5:47 p.m., the Hardwick Police responded to the Village Restaurant parking lot in Hardwick for a two-car accident. Upon investigation it was learned that Sage Freeman, of Landgrove, was sitting stationary in a 2020 Subaru Impreza when she was backed into by Todd Manchester, of Hardwick, who was operating a 1998 Toyota truck. There was significant damage to Freeman’s driver’s side door. There was no damage to the Toyota. No reported injuries.
On December 3, at approximately 10:47 p.m., the Hardwick Police Department stopped Ashley L. Metevier, of Waitsfield, for a moving violation on Wolcott Street in Hardwick Village. Metevier had an active warrant for her arrest out of Washington County for multiple counts of DLS. She was taken into custody without incident and transported to the correctional facility in St. Johnsbury to be booked on the warrant.
