CABOT – The annual 12th Night Celebration will take place in the village on Friday and Saturday, January 3 and January 4. The festival features an array of performing arts and activities for all ages. Twelve events are featured in three venues throughout the village, including concerts, dance, storytelling, theater, arts and crafts workshops, games, bonfires, and outdoor activities including a sunset parade.
Venues include the Willey Building Auditorium, Cabot Village Common, Cabot United Church, Harry’s Hardware/The Den.
Festival highlights will feature Wild Leek River (country band, honky-tonk dance), Village Harmony Midwynter Program (world-class choral music), Brendan Taaffe (crankie show), scavenger hunt (family activity, Cabot Trails), The Midnight Capers (Central Vermont’s Morris Dance team) and Sap Line (youth string band).
Also featured are arts and crafts workshop for children, Cabot Community Theater (Mummer’s play). Georgetown Chimes (a capella singing group), sunset lantern parade (Cabot Village Common), community dinner (at Neighbors in Action); Wassail (community sing) and Forest Station (Bluegrass band at The Den).
