On December 17, a Lyndonville Police Department patrol officer was monitoring traffic on Pleasant Street while providing mutual aid coverage for the St. Johnsbury Police Department. A white truck bearing VT HSM880 was observed having committed multiple motor vehicle violations in the area of Pleasant Street and Jones Street. The Lyndonville Police Department patrol officer attempted to stop the vehicle but the vehicle failed to yield, driving through downtown St. Johnsbury and the Four Seasons neighborhood before exiting onto Western Avenue and westbound on US-2 towards Danville. The pursuit continued on US-2 until it was called off in the Cabot area on US-2. The vehicle in question was last seen continuing westbound on US-2.

The vehicle is an older white pickup truck with the bed full of various materials. There was dark lettering and a large dark colored design on the drivers side of the vehicle.
