CABOT – Cabot Community Theater is seeking performers for the May 8 to May 11 performance of “The Little Mermaid.” Casting will be flexible in terms of age and gender, to offer performing opportunities for as many people as possible. Participants from towns around Cabot are welcome.
Auditions will be held at the Cabot School Performing Arts Center, 25 Common Road (just behind the main school building) from 1 to 5 p.m., on Saturday, Jan. 11. Everyone who signs up for a one-hour slot at bit.ly/cctmermaid will be sent a list of roles and a link to the script.
Auditioners should prepare a song to sing. Accompaniment is available with brought sheet music. Bring shoes to dance in. Anyone interested in a lead role will be asked to read from the script.
Rehearsals will begin in late January on weekend afternoons and some weeknights in the early evening (though not for younger cast members.) Major lead roles will involve two to three rehearsals a week, while smaller parts and chorus members will have one or two; the schedule will be determined after casting, depending on people’s availability.
