Assault, Motor Vehicle Crashes

On December 15, at approximately 8:33 a.m., the Vermont State Police Derby Barracks received a report of an assault that occurred on Griggs Road in Craftsbury. Investigation showed that Owen Rego, of Craftsbury and Dana Mcintyre, of Cabot, had gotten into a physical altercation with each other. Rego was arrested, brought to the Derby Barracks for processing and released on citation. Mcintyre was located later and was issued a citation.

On December 28, at approximately 11:31 a.m., Vermont Troopers were notified of a single vehicle crash on Cobb Road near Rock Road in the town of Walden. Investigation revealed Robert Mulcher, of Danville, crashed his vehicle into a snowbank. Additionally, it was learned Mulcher was impaired at the time of operation. Mulcher was taken into custody for processing and released on citation.

On December 20 at 3:53 p.m., Troopers from the Berlin Barracks responded to a report of a motor vehicle crash on Rte. 14 in Calais. Subsequent investigation indicated the operator, Allen Benjamin, of Barre, had been operating while under the influence of alcohol. He was placed under arrest for suspicion of DUI and transported to the Berlin Barracks for processing. Benjamin also had an active arrest warrant and was lodged at the Northeast Correctional Facility for lack of $500 bail for the warrant. He has a court date of January 9 at 8:30 a.m. in Washington County Superior Court, Criminal Division.

On January 2, at 9:43 p.m., the Vermont State Police was dispatched to a report of a domestic dispute at a residence on Creek Road in Craftsbury. Investigation revealed Raymond Stevens-Reil, of Craftsbury, had caused bodily injury to a family member. Stevens-Reil was transported to the Derby barracks for processing and was later lodged at the Northern State Correctional Facility for lack of $500 bail imposed by the Honorable Court. Stevens-Reil was cited to appear in Orleans Superior Court on January 3 at 12:30 p.m. to answer to charges of domestic assault and unlawful trespass.

On January 3, at approximately 5:24 p.m., Troopers from the St. Albans Barracks responded to a report of a domestic assault in Richford. The initial assault had occurred earlier in the day. Investigation by the Troopers revealed that Jakob Lashomb, of Hardwick, had committed the offense of aggravated domestic assault. Jakob was taken into custody, transported to the St. Albans Barracks and processed.
