HARDWICK – On Saturday, Jan. 18, the Hardwick Electric Department had an outage in East Hardwick. A turkey flew into the power lines and disrupted service. Sometimes these random small outages can be caused by wildlife (birds, squirrels, or in this case, turkeys). Turkeys can clock up to 18 miles per hour on foot and up to 50 miles per hour in the air.
