Accidents
On February 13, at approximately 10:10 a.m., Hardwick Police Department was dispatched to a report of a car off the road on Vt. Rte. 14 S. near the storage buildings. The vehicle, a 2005 Honda Pilot was operated by Dorian Kassim of Hardwick. Kassim lost control of the vehicle on the snowy roads and ended up on the guardrail. There was damage to the passenger side of the vehicle and to the guardrail. Speed and poor tires were a factor in the accident.
On February 14 at approximately 7:06 a.m., Hardwick Police along with Hardwick Fire and Hardwick Fire and Hardwick Rescue were dispatched to a reported two-car accident on Rte. 16 near Riverside Farms Road. A 2014 Toyota Camry driven by Margarette Paul, of Orlando, Fla., was southbound on Rte. 16 when she was rear-ended by a 2019 Ford Ranger operated by Michael Thompson. The Camry had major rear damage and there was minor damage to the Ford.
