Share article

On February 22, officers from the Berlin Police Department were called to a fight in the Walmart parking lot in Berlin. Officers were advised two people assaulted each other. During the investigation, it was determined that Emily Blauss, of Calais, allegedly injured another person. Officers photographed and documented the injury. Officers also determined that Blauss allegedly assaulted a dog in her vehicle. Blauss was processed at the Berlin Police Department for Simple Assault and Cruelty to Animals. Blauss was issued a citation into Vermont Superior Court, Washington Criminal Division, February 24, 12:30 p.m.

Point of Clarification: The Berlin Police Department has no control over bail or incarceration. Those matters are handled by the judicial system, including the judges, court clerks, and the state attorney’s office.
