ELIZABETH (BETTY) MAE DICKSON

GREENSBORO – Elizabeth (Betty) Mae Dickson, age 87 of Greensboro Bend, passed away peacefully on February 27, surrounded by her loving family. This was exactly 23 years to the day preceding her husband Lawrence R. Dickson Sr.
Calling hours will be held on Saturday, March 8, from 10 a.m. to noon at des Groseilliers Funeral Home in Hardwick, with a prayer service beginning at 11 a.m. A gathering of family and friends will follow calling hours at the American Legion Post No. 7 in Hardwick. Interment will be held at Fairview Cemetery on Friday, May 9, at 1 p.m.
Betty was born in Bethany, Conn., on April 22, 1937. She graduated from Laurel Ledge School in Beacon Falls, Conn.
Betty enjoyed bingo, word searches, country music, yodeling, and most of all her family.
Betty is preceded in death by her parents, Arthur J. and Edith J. Norton; her brothers, Arthur E Norton, Raymond J. Norton and Frederick G. Norton; her children, Philip A. Dickson and Patricia A. Dickson; her infants, Tina M. Dickson and William J. Dickson; and her granddaughter Courtney E. Dickson.
Her beautiful life will forever be cherished in the lives of her children. Betty is survived by her children, Lawrence R. Dickson Jr. (Linda) of Barre; Debbie M. Lacasse (Brian) of E Hardwick; John A. Dickson and partner Margaret of Hardwick; Sandra L. Dickson of Waterbury, Conn.; and Joann L. Lacasse (Greg) of Greensboro Bend; her brother William (Bill) J. Norton (Joan) of Naugatuck, Conn.; sister in-laws Janet Norton of Beacon Falls, Conn.; Maryellen Norton of Naugatuck, Conn.; and Marie Taylor of Naugatuck, Conn.; her grandchildren, Elizabeth M. Dickson of Greensboro Bend, raised by Betty after losing her daughter Patricia; Christine N. Papineau (Larry) of E. Hardwick; Vanesa Taylor of Las Vegas, Nevada; Candace Lam (Vince) of San Diego, Calif.; Adam Tendler (Francesco) of New York, N.Y.; Liza J Lacasse (Joe) of Stark, N.H.; Megan A Martinez (John) of Clifton, N.J.; John L. Dickson of Barre; and Charmi J. Dickson (ltsha) of Bristol, Conn.; her great-grandchildren, Harley Papineau, Dylan Papineau, Eva Lam, Dylan Lam, Garrett Lam, Aiden Martinez, Chase Martinez, and Savannah Martinez; and many nieces and nephews.
She will be deeply missed by her family, friends and all that knew her. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Greensboro Nursing Home. Condolences and memories of Betty may be shared with her family at  dgfunerals.com.
