Vehicle Fire at Greensboro Town Garage
GREENSBORO — Greensboro Fire Department was dispatched to a personal vehicle fire at the Greensboro Town Garage at 7 a.m., Thursday, March 11. The report stated that the vehicle was close to the town garage and diesel tanks. Arriving units found a GMC 3500 with flames coming from the engine compartment. A 1.75-inch hose was deployed and the fire was extinguished with less than 1000 gallons of water. The vehicle was a total loss. The Hardwick Fire Department were called for extra personnel until Greensboro crews arrived on scene. Hardwick was canceled before arriving on scene.
Fire Department Lends Hands in Craftsbury
GREENSBORO — On Monday, March 10, Greensboro Fire department responded to assist the Craftsbury Fire Department with a structure fire on the South Albany Road. Engine 2 set up water supply near the scene, while W1 transported water. Engine 1 and Rescue 1 remained on scene and assisted with fire suppression. Crews assisted with the call until the fire was out. Crews were back in service at approximately 6 p.m.
