Financial Fraud for Seniors Seminar, April 16

EAST MONTPELIER — On April 16, the Twin Valley Senior Center will host a free educational seminar on the three P’s of senior investment fraud: Profile, Persuasion, and Prevention. The seminar takes place from 12:30 to 2 p.m., following lunch. The seminar will be led by Attorney Eric Giroux from the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission’s Boston Regional Office. The seminar will focus on the profile of the typical investment-fraud victim, the persuasion tactics con artists use, and what investors can do to protect themselves. There will be an opportunity to ask questions regarding these topics, saving and investing, or the S.E.C. generally. The Twin Valley Senior Center is located at 4583 US Rte. 2, East Montpelier.
