Car Crashes, DUI
HARDWICK — On April 1, at approximately 3 p.m., The Hardwick Police Department responded to a two-car motor vehicle crash with minor injuries on Wolcott Street in Hardwick. The vehicle operated by Vivienne W. Sullivan, of Hardwick, collided with a second vehicle from behind, operated by Diane B. Williams, of Hinesburg. Hardwick Fire Department and Hardwick Rescue also responded to the scene. Sullivan reported minor injuries, however declined transport to Copley.

On April 4, at 6:50 p.m., Hardwick Police Department responded to a single-car motor vehicle crash on Vt. Rte. 14/ and Craftsbury Road in Hardwick. The operator, Sierra Tester, lost control of her vehicle as she swerved off the road to avoid colliding with a vehicle drifting into her lane of travel. The vehicle sustained significant damage to the undercarriage and came to a controlled rest off the side of the roadway in a partially dried marshland. There were no reported injuries.
On March 16 at 4:38 p.m., the Hardwick Police Department was dispatched to the Tops Supermarket for the report of a female slumped over the wheel of a vehicle there. Responding officers were able to wake the female operator of the vehicle, identified as Logan Ballard of Woodbury. Investigation revealed Ballard had driven the vehicle while under the influence of drugs. She was issued a citation to appear in the Superior Court of Vermont, Criminal Division in St. Johnsbury.
