HARDWICK — On April 8, at 5:13 p.m,, the Hardwick Police stopped an SUV on Vermont Rte. 15 near Lamoille Valley Ford for a motor vehicle violation. Investigation revealed the operator of the vehicle, 53-year-old Bill Junior Adams Jr., of Swanton, had an extraditable warrant out for his arrest from the state of Maryland. This was a felony warrant, and he was ordered held without bail pending a hearing scheduled for April 9, at the Superior Court of Vermont, Caledonia Unit in St. Johnsbury, VT.
On April 11, at 6:02 p.m., the Hardwick Police stopped a vehicle on Vermont Rte. 15 near Lamoille Valley Ford after Morristown PD had put out a B.O.L (be on the lookout) for the vehicle following an incident that had occurred in their town. Investigation revealed the operator to be under the influence of alcohol. The male operator, identified as Jesse A. Read Jr., of Morristown and Greensboro, was processed for DUI and issued a citation to appear in the Superior Court of Vermont, Criminal Division, Caledonia Unit, on April 28 to be arraigned for DUI.
