CABOT – Road Foreman Sid Griggs shared an update on Menard Road, Thursday, May 15, saying, “I met with the engineer and contractor on Menard road this morning. . . Fenoff was supposed to start this Wednesday, but I found out today, the culvert delivery had been pushed back a week. . . Without the pipe, which is coming in five to seven pieces, there isn’t much they can do but build a water bypass which won’t take all that much time.
“They are planning to start constructing the project with pieces of the culvert showing up Monday of next week, May 19. That pushes the road closure back to roughly May 28, however I will give an update at the end of next week to double check that everything is going to plan.”
Grigg described the new culvert. “This culvert is going to be a semi-squash pipe around 10 to 12 feet in diameter and close to 90 feet long. It will be quite impressive once in.”
