FAIRFAX – Hazen Union alum and BFA-Fairfax baseball head coach Mike Brown led the Bullets to their third straight win last week to keep pace atop of the Division III standings at 8-4.

The defending Division III champs escaped with a 3-1 home win over Richford on Wednesday to sweep the season series 3-0. Ryan Sheehan celebrated Senior Night with a two-hit, seven-strikeout, complete game win on the mound. The crafty lefty helped his own cause with a pair of hits and an RBI. Fellow seniors Reagan Baumeister, Xavier Gillilan, and Bryant Matton-Wright were also recognized for helping put Bullet baseball back on the map last season with the program’s fifth state championship in Brown’s 28 years at the helm. Fairfax is ranked No. 3 in the current division III standings with a week to go.

Brown and the Bullets wrap up the regular season this week with a trio of match-ups against Paine Mountain, Peoples Academy and defending Division IV state champs Blue Mountain.
