Craftsbury eighth graders (from left) Garrett Patch, Jonah Wohlberg, Avery Boyce, Andrew Fecteau, Jordan Flint, Hollis Allen and Poppy Gletsos are on their way to have an authentic Chinese meal in Chinatown. The Craftsbury eighth graders and chaperones traveled via Amtrak from Montpelier to New York City’s Penn Station and back, June 8 to 12, staying at the West Side YMCA on 63rd Street near Central Park.

Troy Thompson is at the Bronx Zoo during the Craftsbury School’s eighth grade capstone trip to New York City, June 8 to 12. While there students explored iconic landmarks including the 9/11 Memorial and Museum, One World Trade Center, the American Museum of Natural History, Central Park, Times Square and the Brooklyn Bridge. They also enjoyed a Broadway performance of The Outsiders, a New York Mets game, and a ride on the Staten Island Ferry.
