PLAINFIELD – A virtual information session on the Plainfield U.S. 2 Slope Remediation Project will be held by the Vermont Agency of Transportation (AOT) on Thursday, July 23, at 6 p.m. For details about the information session, including the Zoom webinar link visit plainfieldvt.gov.

Work on the U.S. Rte. 2 Slope Remediation Project continues this week through Friday, July 17, between 6:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m., along U.S. Rte 2. (U.S. 2), just west of Vt. Rte. 214 (Vt. 214) in Plainfield.

Expect single-lane closures with alternating one-way traffic controlled by flaggers.
Next week, crews will continue slope work throughout the week, including clearing and excavation.
The project will continue through the summer and into November, with a winter shutdown until early spring 2027 and expected completion in the summer of 2027.
